Who is God? In the Bible, in Exodus, God appears to Moses in the form of a burning bush, and when Moses asks about God’s name or who he is, “God said to Moses: I AM WHO AM.” In the footnote of verse 14 in the 1609 Douay Version of the Old Testament, we are told:

            I am who am. That is, I am being itself, eternal, self-existent, independent, infinite; without beginning, end, or change; and the source of all other beings.
