What I knew when I came back was
that I know that light was of God. It was of or from God. I didn’t think the
light itself was necessarily God, although it could be, I don’t know. But I
know that that light is a part of God…or a part of what God emits.
As this testimony from Jayne is explaining;
the light in the Near Death Experience is of God. Thereby what people experience beyond death is a God of light. This
is also a general conclusion in research of Near Death Experiences, and as mentioned, some
religious people have refused to accept this apparent parallel by using one
line in the Bible about false prophets that rejects the light as Satan.
This is,
however, based on conservative thinking and fear because these people refuse to
listen to the full depth of the experience, where if we listen with an open
mind the full glory of God can be found in these testimonies. In fact, if we
also listen with an open heart we may even find that God speaks directly to us
through these testimonies.
Together
with the power of the experience that we just went through before, the Light in
the NDE also holds an experience or sensation of overwhelming love. This is
usually the core of the experience and the love that the light, or God, emits
is so profound and beyond human comprehension that NDErs cannot find the words
to describe it.
It’s a kind of love that can’t even be explained. It is so hard to
explain what being unconditionally loved is...or what it feels like. But it
feels like...it feels like the safest, most exalted feeling…ahh…well, you see
its ineffable, you run out of words when you try to explain it. But there is no
other source that something like that could come from, except some power...and
that power is love. Now I call it God.
Here we
have the main point: “no other source” than God. Jayne’s testimony really goes
to the core of the experience and when you add all the things up we have gone
through in this chapter then you have a strong case for God. If you take the
fact that many of these experiences happen beyond death. And if you take the
immense power of the experience and multiply it with the overwhelming sensation
of profound love, then you get something truly out of this world: something
that could only come from God.
As 80
percent of the people in my study agree with; the profound otherworldly
experience of unconditional love in the Light could only have one source, and
that source is God.
